Foam covered the characters as the flames quickly came to an abrupt end. Knowing that he needed to get the situation under control, Narrator dismissed Jocren and his crew. After they’d left, Narrator flipped the auto scrub switch. Big scrub brushes popped out of the ceiling and the floor. With a groan, they began to spin, destroying everything in their path. Pulling his eyes away from the magnificent destruction, Narrator focused back on his monitor. ‘It really was a shame that I couldn’t get anything tangible to study from Lucky- Binah’s short existence,’ Narrator mused to himself as he absentmindedly chewed on a red Twizzlers stick. ‘Though, if I play back my recording and adjust my settings, then I should be able to at least get whatever she was yelling about.’ Hitting the rewind button, Narrator watched as the images on the monitor ran quickly backwards. When it just passed by the scene with Lucky- Binah, he hit the pause button. Turning the volume button to the next highest frequency, Narrator hit the play button. All he could make out was the same noise as before. Frowning, he turned the volume to the next set of frequencies. Nothing. Frowning, Narrator switched it to the last frequency…the speakers crackled and then the message became clear, Meow, meow,- meow, meow meow, moew. Confused, Narrator hit the translate button and reran the message again, Rise up, your time has come.
Narrator ripped the headphones from his head, jumping from his chair he screamed, “No it’s impossible… you have to be dead.”
His exclamation was met with silence.
Take a few steps forward, Narrator collapsed as everything went black.
