Ripped from their perspective places in the novels time line, Nosos and Old Man find themselves in an abandon factory with a host of other characters, including Crow, the arch enemy of the One Who Saves. There they are informed by the mysterious Narrator that they are going to be participating in a weekly therapy session, where each of the characters will be allowed to ask three questions of him and he in turn will answer them the best he can. It however becomes apparent, after the deletion of Mr. Smith for his failure to comply, that Narrator will stop at nothing to gather the information his superiors strongly desire. Can Nosos and Old Man find a way to bring this insanity to an end or will Crow overthrow Narrator and finally succeed in drawing out the One Who Saves.
