When you need to collect that water Part 1
Ava cleared her throat and began, “What I want to know, is what every being wants to know and that is, where they came from and what are you planning on doing with that water we gave you?
A small smile flickered on the right side of Narrators face as he considered Ava question. He didn’t know if the knowledge that they were clones- would be detrimental to them, though it would be interesting to find out. As for the usage of the water, Narrator supposed that it wouldn’t hurt to let them know what its use was for…after all he was going to be needing a lot more of that water. Though he supposed that he could strip the needed components from the water and manufacture copies of these components, but this ran risk of picking up some nasty impurities that could very well hinder his plan for domination. Narrator closed his eyes in thought for a few minutes, then an idea occurred to him, ‘If he could get some more of the water, then he’d have enough to replicate the entire source of water and not worry about any impurities. He could always demand that Ava bring him more water, but there was a ninety-nine percent chance that they had already moved on from the shoreline and thus activated the rotating maze. Making any chance of getting the water nearly impossible. So the question remained, how was he going to get the water?
Flashing his eyes between the patients glowing forms on the screen and the bubbling water now held in a clear test tube, he caught a glance of two buttons. One was for the treadmill machines, and the other activated the saturation suits that the test subjects wore when experiments were taking place.
A plan took shape and Narrator now knew what he had to do. Clicking the mike, he said. “I will answer your questions, but first you need to take a little nap, and then the tests will begin.” Letting go of the mike button, Narrator hit a button marked knockout gas and watched as a green mist flooded the room. Turning off the screen, he stretched and yawned. ‘These knuckle heads will be out for a while, which should give me the chance to get these stiffness out of my bones.’ Narrator mused to himself. ‘Plus I could go for a roast beef sandwich right about now.’ Standing up, he walked to the door, opened it and walked through. Making sure that the door was locked behind him, Narrator failed to notice the shadow that slowly walked behind him.
