Be careful of what you ask for
As they took their seats, the farthest white and black door opened and Sassy floated through. She had a confused look on her face as she approached the group, but before she could ask what was going on, the voice demanded,” Take a seat.”
Sassy look at the metal folding chair with disdain, “Have you seen me? Does it really look like I can take a seat in that thing?”
There was silence for a moment then the voice replied, “You know, you’re absolutely right. Where are my manners, I should’ve known that a floating sword, such as yourself, couldn’t sit on a chair comfortably. Let me fix that.”
Sassy’s black metal chair screeched as it was crushed between two invisible forces. Then a whirlwind, enveloped the twisted metal and sparks flew from the midst of the storm. When everything cleared, what was left was a large black metal cylinder with a wide slot in the middle.
“I hope this better fits your needs.” The voice sneered. “I believe that you’ll find this more than comfortable.”
Sassy looked at the structure and began floating away, “On second thought, I believe that I can just float here.”
“Now, now, you know that it’s not polite to refuse a gift that is offered you without trying it out first.”
“No, I think that I can manage quite fine here,” Sassy replied. “Thank you though for your kind offer.”
“I tried being polite,” the voice replied. But you gave me no choice. Do you remember what that fool of the prophet forced you to do earlier on in your adventure?”
“You wouldn’t dare,” Sassy screamed.
“Wouldn’t I,” the voice replied. “You belong to me, he belonged to me. All of you belong to me, to do with as I please. I gave you your powers and I can easily take them away. Now be a good little sword and slide into that slot I made for you.”
With a heart-wrenching sob, Sassy slowly floated over to the cylinder and lowered herself into the slot.
“Now that, that is done, I need some time to quietly reflect on your actions so far, so be good characters and stay put. I’ll return in a few minutes and then we will begin.
