NaNoWriMo
Dear Readers, Its November again, and this means NaNoWriMo(National Novel Writing Month) is once more upon us. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about; the goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a novel in a month. In word-count, this boils down to 50,000 words in a month’s time. As you have undoubtedly figured out by now, I’m participating in this event. My goal is to get through the rest of the fifth world, and most of the sixth in my novel (for further information on the novel, or if you have yet to order Water Lily Pond, feel free to check them out at: http://richardmpolk.wix.com/water-lily-pond. For those of you who are participating in NaNoWriMo this month, write-on my fellow writers. May the muse of the written word, come and touch your heads as you sleep, flooding your dreams with wondrous, mystic ideas. Embrace these thoughts, cherish them, use them, share them with the world through your own unique style of writing. People need wisdom, people need encouragement, people need enlightenment on the events of the modern age. This has always been the responsibilities of storytellers throughout the entire historical time-line of Human Civilization- and now it’s our turn. Let us do the giants, the Patriarch of storytelling, proud; and uphold the tradition of relating the aspects, the lessons of truth to our fellow humans, that we as writers experience for ourselves, when we put our emotional thoughts to word upon the blank page.
Sincerely,
Richard Polk
