When the truth comes out....
“Tell me again, what exactly happened.” General Porkster asked Jack for the third time.
“Why, I already told you three times already,” Jack whined.
“Because I need to get the facts straight before I bring this to my superiors. Now I have been patient with you Jack. Normally I would have my top negotiators questioning you, but I’m extending you the curtesy of hearing your story first and then deciding where to go from there.” “You forgot one thing,” Jack replied, his tears streaked eyes sparking in the light. “None of your men are authorized to know about this little project. That is the only reason why you are doing it yourself. You don’t care about me one bit, so drop the charade General.”
“Okay,” General Parker sighed as he removed his glasses. Looking down at them, he pulled out a small white cloth and began polishing them. “You’re right. I don’t like you. In fact, I find you despicable. However, you are our best chance of figuring out what went on here.” General Porkster said as he returned his glasses to his face. “To be frank, Jack, I find it hard to believe that Jill would use herself as a guinea pig. I’ve known her personally for several years and though she is dedicated to her work, she is not reckless and stupid. So, I’m kindly asking you to tell me once again what happened and please don’t leave out any details.”
Jack sighed and rubbed the side of his head. “Fine okay, but this will have to be the last time. You guys have kept me up all night and I’m getting tired of it. I need to take my meds and get some sleep.”
“How do you know it’s been all night?”
“Night, day. It doesn’t matter. It’s all the same down here.” Jack replied. “So once again. Here’s what happened.”
