Jillian's first flight Part 2
Initially the trip was without incident. The sky was clear and cold. Jillian was glad she had eaten the extra bit of food in her bowl. Her human would naturally question as to why she was eating so much. But her food consumptions was none of his business. All that he should be worried about was keeping that food bowl full and the litter box clean. In return, Jillian permitted him to live in her apartment, sit in her furniture and comfort her when she was feeling down.
Twang! One of the straps for the left wing snapped, nearly taking off her head in the process. Jillian let out surprised meow as the plane tilted causing her to readjust the controls, in order to regain control. She looked at the flapping strap and hissed quietly to herself, “I expected some complications, but not this. Fortunately the runway for the factory was drawing close, that’s if my make shift compass is to be believed,”
Tapping the gauge of the compass, Jillian watched as it swiveled, then returned to its previous setting. She was still on the right course. “Good,” Jillian purred. A pair of flashing red dots caught her attention and she angled the nose of the plane in its direction. Soon the lights of the runway came into view and Jillian descended the plane, the air whipping around her pilot’s hood and goggles. Leveling the plane out, she felt the tires make contact with the tarmac. Meowing a sigh of relief, Jillian brought the plane to a rolling stop. The first leg of her journey was done, now all she had to do was meet spooky, load the packages and deliver them.
