How Father became known as Old Man

Father screamed and awoke, finding himself drenched in sweat. Swearing not to fall asleep again, but to await the dawn of the day, he found his lids heavy and he drifted off to sleep. A golden haired figure in white appeared before him and spoke,

Father I forgive you

For all that you have done

I come to you in haste

This night

With a warning

Flee this place

For Crow sends your Master

To take your life

As punishment for not completing the ritual

Do this for me, Father

There is a land not far from here

One that flows with milk and honey

It is ruled by the One Who Saves

I have spoken to him about you

He desires to meet you

Do this for me Father,

Go to him trust in him

Take not matter into your own hands

But flee this place and flee it now

Promise me Father

That you will do this

Father heard himself respond, “I promise,” then he awoke. He couldn’t tell if it was a dream or not, but Father knew what he had to do. He’d flee this place and gather the required forces to overthrow Crow & Company. But first he had to take care of Master. That monster would stop at nothing to destroy him and so Father figured he had to take him out first and if he did it right, he’d provide the right kind of distraction that would give him amble time to flee.

Jumping out of bed, Father grabbed the alarm clock on the wooden night stand by his head. Rushing down to the lab, he grabbed the necessary supplies and began mixing them. An hour later, he packed a knapsack of supplies which included a weeks’ worth of food. Strapping the pistol to his side, Father carefully picked up the device he created and carefully made his way to his Masters house. Setting the alarm clock to go off in fifteen minutes, he placed the device under the massive generator that supplied power to the entire building, and its surrounding compounds, with the help of secondary generators. Quickly leaving, Father reached the base of the mountains when the device went off, taking with it the generator which in turn caused an overload in the secondary generators. In a short matter of time, the entire structure was engulfed in a roaring blaze.

Straightening the pack on his shoulders, Father went in search of a group of rebels who were to have plans of leaving this world in favor of another. When he had found them, they asked for his name. “You may call me Old Man,” Father replied.
